I am a Swedish multi-disciplinary artist whose practice includes fiber art, sculpture, video, installation and more. I often work with themes connected to language, gender, and the embodiment of space in different contexts. I especially enjoy working with materials and techniques not normally associated with art, such as wall filler and cross-stitch embroidery.
In recent years, I have been particularly interested in the material aspects of my practice. The starting point for a project was previously often a concept, but since 2021 I have instead explored processes that places a greater emphasis on the materials. I felt the need to find ways of working that placed higher value on intuitive approaches, as opposed to cerebral ones. Many of my works during since then have dealt with different forms of corporeality: that of the artist as well as that of the materials, and the interaction between them.
